We wanted guests to
live Japan, not see it.
Powder Rover was born from a simple frustration: most trips to Japan's powder resorts treat the country as a backdrop. You ride. You eat at international restaurants. You leave with photos but no Japan inside you.
We built the week we wished we'd had. A small, private lodge in Nagamori-cho. A half-Japanese host who can translate not just the language but the way of doing things. Five Japanese locals — the cooks, the drivers, the guides — who keep the daily rhythm as Japanese as possible.
By day, we chase the deepest powder Myoko can give us — Lotte Arai, Akakura, Seki, Madarao — choosing the resort each morning based on the forecast. By evening, the house turns into something else: a steaming nabe, sake, conversation in two languages, and the slow rhythm only a Japanese mountain night has.

Small group.
Big week.
We host one group at a time. Never more than twelve people. Everything — the meals, the guides, the lodge — is sized to feel like staying with friends who happen to know every secret line in Myoko.
